Hey kids!
How
would you like to be part of a club where you can really have
fun? This organization is called Awana and there is no other
club like this! You can have a really fun time while learning
more about God and how he loves you.
You will be with a group of friends that are your age and like
the things that you do. Also, you will wear a uniform and
receive awards for learning more about our loving God. Beside
the awards, you will be given "Awana Bucks". You can spend your
special money buying fun things from the "Awana Store". There
really is no other club like Awana!
We would
like for you to join the Awana Club. If you would like to become
a member, just tell your mother or father so they can contact
the church and enroll you. We hope to see you in Awana very
soon!

Moms &
Dads, As loving parents we all value our children's
education. We may pay tuition for a private school or drive
several miles daily in order that our children may attend the
school that best offers the education that your child will need
in order to be successful in today's world. We may mortgage our
home or work a second job in order to put our kids through
college.

We all know that a well-rounded education involves the "mind-
body- spirit". Our children will likely be active in
extracurricular activities such as dance, music, sports,
scouting, and many other things. All of these things are
important toward our final goal of raising a responsible adult,
when kept in context. It is easy, however, to get so involved in
these daily activities being a "Soccer Mom" or "Baseball Dad"
that we don't even think about the most important aspect of our
child's education. One with eternal ramifications. ...an
education about our loving God.
We love our children and would never intentionally do anything
to harm them. However, if we fail to educate our young children
about the love of God, then nothing else really matters.
 |
Anyone would admit that
this graphic is meant to be humorous, however our
actions speak louder than words. If sports or anything
else keep us or our children from worshipping the
God of love, then this message really hits home! |
Awana is great place to get your child involved learning
about our loving God. Awana is really appealing to children and
teaches "work = reward". The children develop social skills,
learn teamwork, sharing, and most importantly learn about God's
Word. The verses learned at this age will be with them
throughout their life.
The Awana Club meets every Wednesday evening at 6:15 pm. Very
economical meals are served at "Wednesday Night Supper" which
begins at 5:00 pm. If you would like to enroll your children in
Awana simply call the church office (478-275-0175), or contact
Lee
Ciucevich, the Awana Director by email. Be sure to
incluede your childs age, grade, sex, and size in your email. A "Q & A" section follows that will
answer most of your questions.
Awana Q & A
What is Awana? - The name may sound foreign, however it comes
directly from the Bible in (II Timothy 2:15) which states:
15 Study to shew thyself
approved
unto God, a
workman
that needeth not
to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.
(Approved
workmen
are not
ashamed)
--------------
I have never heard of Awana. Is Liberty
the only church with this program?
Awana International is the most popular children's ministry of
it's type with more than 5000 clubs in foreign countries. Check
out their
website for more information.
--------------
Do I/we need to be a member of Liberty Baptist in order for
my child to join Awana?
No, enrollment is open to any child in this area.
--------------
Do Awana Clubbers wear uniforms?
Yes, the uniforms consist of T-shirts, vest, and a bag
for the younger groups.
--------------
What are the costs of the uniform?
The uniforms are very modestly priced and are provided to
you at our cost. Please do not allow this cost to prevent
enrolling your child in Awana. Contact the church office or

costs and special arrangements. Be sure to include your child's
age, grade, sex, and size in your email.
