Ministries

Teacher: Amy Dixon

The Women's Connection is to take the place of the "Baptist Women".  At
this time I don't have the ministry directives. This will be updated as soon
as possible.

Teacher: Chris Dixon

The Men's Ministry will take the place of the "Brotherhood". As with the
Women's Connection, the ministry directives for this program were not
available at the time of writing.

The Praise & Worship Band, the Praise & Worship Choir, and the Audio/Video & Lighting Technicians work as a team to provide an atmosphere of worship and praise. The working of the Holy Spirit through the praise and worship time allows us to praise God for who he is.

God is the creator of all things, and that certainly includes music. Search the scriptures and you will find just how important it is.

1 Chronicles  9:33       1 Chronicles 9:(32-34) in context
Those who were musicians, heads of Levite families, stayed in the rooms of the temple and were exempt from other duties because they were responsible for the work day and night.

1 Chronicles 15:16
David told the leaders of the Levites to appoint their brothers as singers to sing joyful songs, accompanied by musical instruments: lyres, harps and cymbals

Music was then, and is now important to God! If you have never enjoyed the music during your services, we would like to extend an invitation to you to visit with us.

Kidz Time & Kids Zone are Sunday morning worship time programs specifically designed for kids. Don't let your kids miss out on this fun time that's just for them!

"Kids Time" for 3 & 4 yrs old
"kids Zone" for K - 3rd grade

Any time that you find Baptists, you'll find food! Although we love to eat there is a real need for a meal to be prepared for all of the Awana Kids, the teachers, and other workers on Wednesday night. The kids start eating at 5:00 p.m. and the Awana program starts a 6:00 p.m.. As you can see there would be far fewer kids attending if the meal was not provided.

Visitation is weekly on Wednesday evening from 6:00-7:00 pm.

Life Groups are designed to help you practically apply God's Word to your life on a daily basis. These small groups help you to find the relationships, prayer support, accountability, encouragement, and training you need. Life Groups meet on Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm.

Sunday Bible Study classes enable our church family and visitors to connect on multiple levels that foster friendship that last for eternity. Bible study provides a look into God's Word that according to 2 Timothy 3:16 is good for "teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness". Fellowship provides individuals an opportunity to build relationships and a sense of belonging. Our Sunday Bible Study classes are offered each Sunday morning at 9:45 am.

Steps to Peace With God

Step
1

God's Purpose: Peace and Life

God loves you and wants you to experience peace and life --- Abundant and Eternal

The Bible says...

We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ - Romans 5:1

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

"I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10:10

Why
don't most people have this peace and abundant life that God

planned for us to have?

The Problem: Our Separation

God created us in His own image to have an abundant life. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him. God gave us a will and freedom of choice.

We chose to disobey God and go our own willful way. We still make this choice today. This results in separation from God.

The Bible Says...

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."  Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."  Romans 6:23

Our choice results in separation from God

Our Attempts to Reach God

People have tried in many ways to bridge this gap between themselves and God

The Bible Says...

"There is a way that seems right to a man but in the end it leads to death."
Proverbs 14:12

"But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear."  Isaiah 59:2

No bridge reaches God ...except one

God's Bridge: The Cross

Jesus Christ died on the Cross and rose from the grave. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between God and people.

The Bible Says...

"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."  1 Timothy 2:5

"For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God."  1 Peter 3:18

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."  Romans 5:8

God has provided the only way... Each person must make a choice...

Our Response: Receive Christ

We must trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and receive Him by personal invitation.

The Bible Says...

"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me."  Revelation 3:20

"Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."  John 1:12

"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."  Romans 10:9

Where are you?

Would you like to receive Jesus right now?

Here is how you can receive Christ:

  • Admit your need ( I am a sinner)
  • Be willing to turn from your sins (repent)
  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.
  • Through prayer, invite Jesus to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (receive him as your Lord and Savior)

How to Pray:

Dear Lord Jesus,

I know that I am a sinner and need Your Forgiveness. I believe that you died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.

                                                 In Jesus Name: Amen

God's Assurance: His Word

If you prayed this prayer, the Bible says...

"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved"  Romans 10:13

Did you sincerely ask Jesus Christ to come into your life? Where is he right now? What has he given you?

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works so that no one can boast."  Ephesians 2:8-9

The Bible Says...

"He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life."  John 5:12-13

                                              ____________________

Receiving Christ, we are born into God's family through the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit who indwells every believer. This is called regeneration, or the "new birth."

If you have followed these simple steps, sincerely wanted a change in your life, and have asked Jesus to change you and your life, then I would like to be the first to say welcome to a new way of life with real peace and joy!

This is just the beginning of a totally new life! Please contact us and let us know about your decision. We really want to hear from you!

If you live in the vicinity of Liberty Baptist Church we would love for you to become part of our congregation here. If not, please pray and let God lead you to the place where he would want you be. If we can be of assistance in any way, finding a church home, or answering any questions that you may have, please contact us.

As a new Christian, the Bible refers to you as a "Babe" or baby. To grow you need to, so to speak, eat Spiritual Food.

Here are a few things that you need to do:

  • Read your Bible every Day
  • Talk to God every day in prayer
  • Tell others about your decision and share what he has done in your life.
  • Worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is preached.
  • As Christ's representative in a needy world, demonstrate your new life by your love and concern for others.

May God richly bless you in your new walk with Him!
